If you’re a newbie to the area, you may not be familiar with Branson Landing. This popular attraction on the beautiful waterfront of Lake Taneycomo offers shopping, dining and entertainment galore.
Throughout the summer, patrons can enjoy free concerts that appeal to all ages. The band scheduled to perform on September 2 is Boogie Wonderland, which will play tunes from the 70s by groups such as the Bee Gees and Earth Wind and Fire. If it’s been a while since you danced to disco music, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to indulge in this pleasure.
On September 16, the Dan Benton Band will entertain an appreciative audience. Six musicians from the Ozarks make up this group, and their songs’ influences stem from Christian, rock and country music. The shows begin at 8 p.m.
The Farmers Market at the Landing is open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Tuesday evening. You can pick up luscious fresh produce as well as baked goods, soaps and jellies. It is located in the south parking lot.
One of the Landings features that attract the most visitors is its spectacular fountain displays. Every day starting at noon, patrons can view shows that dazzle their senses through an interplay of water, fire and light choreographed to music. The noon, 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. shows even play “The Star Spangled Banner.”
