Driving around to look at Christmas lights is a fun tradition of many families. But the Trail of Lights takes this tradition a step further. The Trail’s drive-through animation display will wow kids and adults alike! It’s even been called “one of the most dazzling Christmas spots in America” by the Travel Channel.
Cars move through the historic 160-acre Shepherd of the Hills Homestead. You’ll move along the “Trail that Nobody Knows How Old” and immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit. The Trail is a true winter wonderland. Festive music plays while you enjoy the illuminated characters and colorful lighted displays
from the comfort of your vehicle. You’ll also enjoy themed sections such as religious, patriotic, humorous, and Victorian.
Don’t miss Inspiration Tower, set on the highest point in Southwest Missouri. This 230-foot-tall structure is strung with lights to resemble a giant Christmas tree. You can take one of the glass elevators to the enclosed observation deck for amazing panoramic views. You can also see its lights from miles around!
The Trail remains open until December 31st. Its hours are from when the sun goes down until 10:30 p.m., nightly. Included in your visit are admission to the Tower and hot cocoa. For more information, check out the website here.
