With July 4th approaching, everyone’s thoughts are focused on the red, white and blue. But you don’t have to wait until the 4th to show your patriotic spirit! On June 24th, the College of the Ozarks will host its 29th Annual Honor America Celebration. All ages will enjoy this free event that is open to the public and takes place on the college’s campus. Grab a spot on the lawn with your blankets or lawn chairs and settle in for a fun evening!

Beginning at 5:30 p.m., you can enjoy an old-fashioned, barbeque picnic. Meals and ala carte items will be available for purchase until 7:45 p.m. At 6:00 p.m., the stage comes alive with local favorites, including Dawson Hollow, the Hunt Family Band, and AYO Voices of Glory.

Bringing the kids or grandkids? There will be plenty of activities for them to enjoy from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. They can get their faces painted or choose their perfect balloon animals. There’s even a craft area where they can make a thank-you card for veterans.

At 8:30 p.m., the main event starts. Everyone in the family will love The Hard Work U. Concert Band’s patriotic program and presentation of the colors. The music is the perfect companion to the fireworks display that is sure to wow the crowd! You can get more information on the event here.
