Almost nothing delights the heart and puts a smile on the face more than interactions with friendly creatures. Visit Branson’s Promised Land Zoo for close-up encounters with charming members of the animal kingdom.
A tour through the attraction involves a Foot Safari through exhibits of many species, including kangaroos, zebras, monkeys, lemurs, big cats, deer, porcupines and more. A petting zoo of animals like goats and alpacas is also available. You can feed many of the residents.
Live animal shows are held several times each day. These fun, educational opportunities will permit you to interact with five or six critters.
One of the most popular features of the zoo is bottle-feeding baby animals like deer, goats, zebras and camels. This pleasure is also offered several times during the day, and it involves no extra charge.
Be sure to stop at Parakeet Paradise, where you’ll be given a stick with which to feed the feathery lovelies. Hundreds of birds will flock to you to get a treat.
Admission tickets are $12 for children, $17 for seniors and $20 for adults. The address is 2751 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, and it is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
