It’s funny how hearing music from earlier decades can take us back to our childhood and teen years in an instant. Branson has wonderful shows for people who want to revisit the past in this delightful way.
No one who grew up in the ‘60s can ever forget “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man” and “Sherry.” They are forever woven into our consciousness. If you love these songs, you’ll want to plan to attend New Jersey Nights.
It opens early on February 21 with two shows per week. After April 1, it will also be featured as one of our park’s ticket-winner shows. In other words, when people make their reservation, they are entered automatically in our ticket drawing, and one lucky winner every day wins two tickets to one of Branson’s fabulous shows. In addition, once our office opens for the season, these tickets may be purchased at the front desk.
Tickets are $39.50 for ages 13 and older and $17.50 for ages 3 through 12. The location is King’s Castle Theatre at 2701 W. 76 Country Boulevard.
Undoubtedly, you’ll remember the songs of Motown made popular by the Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and the Four Tops. You can listen to these tunes from the ‘60s and ‘70s at this performance.
Tickets are $33.75 for ages 17 and older and $11.75 for ages 6 through 16. The location is the Hot Hits Theatre at 206 S. Commercial Street. Showtime is at 7 p.m.
