Looking for a different kind of outdoor activity to enjoy? Why not try your hand at disc golf? This sport—popularly known as Frisbee golf—provides all the fun of golf without the cost or skill required of the sport. It’s a sport for all ages as it is low impact and easy to play.
Disc golf has gained new popularity, but it has been around for almost 100 years. Players move through a course from beginning to end trying to use the fewest number of throws to land the disc in a designated basket.
Visitors to Branson have two options for playing disc golf: Sunset Park and Cedars Resort Treehouz. Sunset Park has a par-54 disc course that’s nestled in moderate woods on a fairly flat terrain. While the course is perfect for beginners and kids, those with more experience will still be challenged by many trees with low-window shots. For more information on Sunset Park, visit their website here.
The Treehouz course at Cedars Resort is considered one of the Midwest’s best course. It features 19-holes on over 7,400 feet. It also highlights features such as the big bomb, water obstacles, tunnels, and heavy woods. The course features a variety of elevation changes and density of wooded areas. For more information on the Treehouz course, visit their website here.
